Trends.Design.Production

Starting in 2014, the main exhibition of the International Triennial of Glass and Jewellery has been mapping developments in the Czech market. The exhibition is not open to applications: the selection of exhibitors is the result of a curatorial decision based on long-term monitoring of developments in utility glass and costume jewellery. The ambition of the exhibition is to introduce visitors to a broad range of the latest innovations from Czech and foreign companies, large and small, all under one roof. It is not a display of individual products or prototypes, but a genuine commercial presentation. While the curators select the participants, the participants themselves choose the products they will exhibit from their collections. They must also decide which products are to be featured in the TRENDS, DESIGN and PRODUCTION categories. TRENDS focuses on ranges in line with current design or consumer trends, DESIGN deals with production with a high added aesthetic value, and PRODUCTION is dedicated to commercially successful goods. In terms of time, the selected products chart the situation of the last three years, during which time they have been designed and launched or have performed well.
