The exhibition in the exhibiton - CZECH BEADS AND KOREAN FANTASY
Winning works from the HANDMADE DREAMS workshop in Seoul, Daegu and Iksan
The new exhibition in the exhibition in the jewellery permanent exhibition presents the final works from the of Czech fashion jewellery workshops aimed at tertiary students and beginning designers. Those took place in 2019 under the leadership of Czech artist Kateřina Krausová in three South Korean jewellery production centers in Seoul, Iksan and Daegu. The participants had the opportunity to try working with glass beads PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads™ of the company Preciosa Ornela, which represents the largest Czech manufacturer and exporter of this assortment.
The organization of workshops following the presentation of the traveling exhibition HANDMADE DREAMS – Contemporary Czech Fashion Jewellery, prepared by the Museum of Glass and Jewellery, is a continuation of the successful cooperation of the Czech Center Seoul with the Center for the Support of Jewellery Production in Seoul, Fashion Jewelry Town in Daegu and the Museum of Jewellery in Iksan. The workshops were followed by the announcement of a competition for the most beautiful jewellery work made from Czech pearls. The best pieces were then presented to the Korean public at a joint exhibition, and the three winning works from each city can be viewed in the museum's permanent exhibition.
