Event in the exhibition – 120 years of the JÍLEK GLASSWORKS in Kamenický Šenov

A new feature in the permanent glass exposition is a section dedicated to the Jílek Glassworks in Kamenický Šenov, which is celebrating 120 years since its founding this year.

The Jílek Glassworks was founded in 1905 in Kamenický Šenov. It was one of the few Czech companies in the then German environment of the Lusatian Mountains. The specialty of the glassworks became based on demand and own development various coloured glassware, products decorated with optical decors, and multi-layered glass. On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the founding of the glassworks, we present a representative selection of products made in the first half of the 20th century.

The exhibition is located in the permanent exposition of glass until 13. 4. 2025.
