Students of the studios S+M+L_XL – METAL AND JEWELLERY and GLASS of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, led by Prof. Karol Weisslechner and Doc. Patrik Illo, were inspired by the evidence cards of objects from the collection of the Museum of Glass and Jewellery, removed from the collection in the past decades due to irreversible damage. The goal was not to produce "replicas", but to create new, original works by using preserved textual information, including dimensions. Sixteen objects were created during the project, initiated by the museum's chief curator, Petr Nový.
The exhibition will last until April 14, 2024 and is located in a permanent Jewellery exposition.
