Event in exhibition - Stanislava Grebeníčková

The new exhibition presents unique glass jewellery by Stanislava Grebeníčková. The author of artistically expressive glass jewellery graduated from the School of Glass Arts in Železný Brod and then from the glass studio of Prof. Stanislav Libenský at the University of Applied Arts in Prague. She began her jewellery making in the mid-1990s with the theme of minimalist creation of elementary spaces based on her experience in the sculptural creation of larger glass objects. In very low relief slate, she created a sense of spatiality through the contrast of precise geometric surface, structure, glass fragments and light. The next stage was to move into a spatial illusion in the exact polished glass surface through the colour and texture of the glass. It was inspired by the compositional principle of Renaissance marble floors and stone and wood inlays, which create an optical spatial illusion. Recently, she has been interested in creating a space that is not only illusory but also real. When creating her brooches, she lets her experiences, inner emotions and intuition guide her. By building a minimalist sculptural space, she turns to the hidden meaning of the things that inspire her.

The exhibition will be installed in the permanent exhibition of Jewellery until February 9, 2025.
