We will present contemporary design glass at AMBIENTE

A selection from the main exhibition of the International Glass and Jewellery Triennial JABLONEC 2023 is to be presented at the world's largest consumer goods fair in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 26 to 30 January this year. Glass products from 34 Czech and international companies, studios and brands will be on display.

The Ambiente trade fair, held at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre together with the Christmasworld and Creativeworld trade fairs, regularly provides space for special projects alongside commercial presentations. Due to the long-term cooperation with the Czech representative of Messe Frankfurt, the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou managed to secure the fair as a prestigious partner for its International Triennial of Glass and Jewellery project, but it also gained the opportunity to present its own exhibitions there. The first was in 2014, the Glass Republic exhibition dedicated to contemporary art glass, followed in 2017 by the RE-DESIGN project, the work of students of the Tomáš Bat'a University in Zlín inspired by the museum's collections. This year it will feature the TRENDS.DESIGN.PRODUCTION exhibition, presenting the finest from the main exhibition of the Jablonec Triennial 2023.

 “We greatly appreciate the opportunity to present our projects to a global audience at such a prestigious event. Moreover, Messe Frankfurt provides us with free presentation space, which is an expression of true partnership,” said Milada Valečková, the museum’s director. The museum was provided with a 40 m² space in foyer 20 of Hall 11.0, where the increasingly popular HoReCa business segment (goods for hotels, restaurants and cafés) is focused. A number of Czech glass companies are also located here. “We have selected 49 products for presentation, recognized by an international jury at the exhibition in Jablonec and supplemented with curatorial pointers. We will display them on pedestals in the colours of the Czech tricolour, made especially for this occasion,” added Petr Nový, exhibition curator.
