Exhibition ALONE TOGETHER

Contemporary art and design can be presented in many ways. The museum, which is publishing a catalogue to accompany the ALONE TOGETHER exhibition, decided to not only bring these creative spheres together, but at the same time choose individual pieces in line with a common theme. “The works on display speak of relationships between people, materials, shapes, techniques, and colours. They were born of emotions, which they in turn transmit to the viewer - even if those emotions might not always be the same ones with which they came into the world,” says curator Dagmar Havlíčková in explaining the concept of the exhibition. Twenty-eight artists from 3 generations, hailing from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland, and Slovakia, will display their work at the exhibition. The effective scenography was created by glass artist Ricardo Hoineff, the graphic presentation by David Matura, while the works of two of the greats of Czech glass - René Roubíček and Vladimír Kopecký - were chosen as the visual symbol.

The opening of the exhibition dedicated to studio glass was on Thursday, 16th May at 5 p.m.
