The new exhibition, Dreaming of the Future – Czechoslovak Glass and Costume Jewellery Design 1948-1989, is focus on the period of Socialism. “We will be showcasing exhibits designed for the domestic market, but also in particular for customers abroad,” says Petr Nový, the museum’s chief curator. The exhibition is accompanied by a specialist publication with dozens of photographs of iconic and long-forgotten examples of glass and costume jewellery.
