The Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou - THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD! Nowhere else in the world will you find a museum that includes the fields of glass and jewellery together, a collection of jewellery of all materials and technologies. You will find here the second largest collection of glass in the Czech Republic and at the same time one of the most important in Europe and the largest public collection of glass Christmas decorations in the world. The museum's entire collection consists of 12 million unique objects.
The second floor of the main building at the museum, covering an area of 380 sqm, is divided into four exhibition units that chronologically follow on from one another, from prehistory to the present. The museum is in charge of the largest public collection of glass Christmas ornaments in the world, a collection that numbers more than fifteen thousand pieces. Most were donated by the Jablonex Company, which provided the museum with its entire range of samples of blown and decorated Christmas ornaments back in 2008.
